The capability to love stands at the same level as the willingness to accept. Not being able to accept has always been the biggest obstacle for humanity. Most discussions between people are about what is wrong and what is unacceptable. The Ego has been able to specialize itself in shirk its responsibility, by placing all persons which are living "bad" on a so called "black list".
This is not surprising, if you realize that the Ego is nothing more than a thought about separation, an idea about separation created by ourselves. It is based on the erroneous idea that we do not deserve or are unworthy for God's Love, unless we are able to meet a whole list of criteria. In most cases we place the standard so high, that it is impossible to be pleased about ourselves, due to which we live with a tremendous emptiness, a lack of inner peace, safety and security.
The Ego wants to maintain the illusion of separation, as to deny the emptiness or inner suffering and projects the cause as well as the liberation of the pain outside itself. This is the reason why the Ego always is focussing on calamities and misery to justify itself as an innocent victim. As long as there are scapegoats or evildoers in this world and the Ego is able to project its inner dissatisfaction on these persons, so it does not have to question its inner self.
By blaming and holding responsible other people for the lack of safety and fulfilment, the Ego tries to neutralize the source of the pain. In this strategy the "others" often have to suffer for the pain which the Ego does not want to give up. Which makes it clear why newspapers and the media in general prefer to write about "bad" news than "good" news, because the survival of the Ego depends on it.
For the Ego the outside world is not only a place for "evildoers", but also for self-created saviours, who can ease the untouched pain and fill the yawning emptiness. By way of compensation a lot of "fake gods" are being created, like the craving passion for money, superficial relations, admiration, idols, media stars, beauty ideals, drugs, etc.
The Ego divides the world in two camps.
The "Good Ones" who are getting all the approval and acceptance.
The "Bad Ones" who are condemned and avoided.
The Ego likes to play this game to put everybody in one of these camps, to get control of life. If we are willing to arise above our Ego, we need to recognize this game of duality.
In view of the following sample we can shatter this illusion.
Parents are raising their child with the idea that if you are lazy, you will never achieve something in life. Because the kid wants the approval of his parents for his "good" behaviour he adjusts himself out of fear for his parents and takes care that he is always active with something.
In the kids mind, "bad" is related to lazy and passive while "good" is related to active and being busy, so it will automatically judge other people according to his good/bad list. As a grown up this person will get irritated by every lazy person he will meet in his life. Literally he is being lived by his subconscious emotional conclusions, although he is not aware of it.
Our disapproval turns out to be an emotional acquired reaction from a situation in our past.
The past is continually being triggered in the present, because in the subconscious are still old programs that are busy to sabotage the experience of the present moment.
Our reaction pattern rarely is authentic and from us, however acquired in the emotional environment in which we grew up. During our life we attract situations and people according to our convictions.
We are the creators moment by moment from our coloured version of reality.
If we do not realise this, we will be living like a puppet on strings.
We see the world as a battlefield between "good" and "bad", where on one side we have to fight and at the other side we have to be afraid of all kind of imaginary risks or dangers.
As a result we will be judging, comparing, defending ourselves, get our rights, always wanting to win, compulsively desire at the cost of happiness, peace and peace of mind.
We create our own evildoers and offenders in our life every time as we continuously judge. The more energy we invest in judgement, the more we will feel ourselves the victim. All resistance we have against something in life will grow stronger and stronger and will be noticed as a strong opposing force, until we can release the resistance and the judgement against it.
This is why our biggest enemies are our most important tutors and they deserve our most positive attention because they;
Make us aware of the pain of hidden self love and acceptance.
Confront us with our biggest resistance to dare trust in ourselves.
Open up the hidden and dark recesses of our mind.
Bring us the message that we have to find our inner power to increase our self-respect, the will to accept, and self love.
Let us change our perception of all so called disappointments or bad luck situations and see them as a stimulant, an appeal to allow our inner Source and work together.
If you feel yourself safe from within, carried and guided by the all penetrating Source, nobody or nothing can harm you.
If we dare to feel Source from within us, we will be ending the restless search outside of us.
Not to far from now, others will be inspired by our example!
Our whole life is a voyage of discovery to our real selves It is a voyage in which we bit by bit learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff.
It is an extremely fascinating enterprise, a voyage to "feeling yourself at home" in life.
It is like coming home on planet earth, in our physical body, knowing that we all are wonderful and unique competent human beings with very much to offer.
