This women had a serious problem. She wanted to donate $800 towards her favourite charity. Her husband was reluctant. He did not find it worthwhile. There was a tiff in the house. This women was not working and she was taking care of her children at home. She was frustrated that her husband can spend money on anything that he likes because he is earning while she had to take permission from him for every expenditure...... The women felt very sad but she was not ready to give up. She called me up for advice. "Your husband is right.Donating money towards charitable cause from his salary does not make much sense..." I told her..... She yelled at me. She was furious....
After the storm had subsided ,I calmly told her " Look i never told you that you were wrong and i never told you should not donate the money. What i told you was you should not draw the money from your household income if that is causing a problem to your husband but there are other ways ......
"If you want to do good things you don't have to disturb your existing environment. You don't have to prove a point. Some people donate $10, others donate $100, while few donate a million dollars. There are also many individuals who only offer prayers for the needy. Each of them is powerful in their own right. You have to understand that when you donate for a charitable cause you gain more points than the person whom you help. You become more powerful because suddenly you give money a new definition. You don't trade. There is no give and take. You only give and what you receive in return for this noble cause is a powerful force which sets in motion the spirit of goodness within you and awakens the sleeping giant inside of you.... It empowers you instantly.....
By saying i want to pay $800 you want to prove a point...and in doing so you disturb the existing environment in your house.... "
" Is there any amount of money which you have set aside for your personal expenditure every month" I gently asked her. Her husband had budgeted $250 as her pocket money every month for her personal expenses. She used to spend this money for personal shopping and entertainment.. She also had extra cash of $450 out of her previous months saving..
" Donate $450 towards your charity right now and the remaining you can donate in the coming months out of your pocket money..." I advised her ....
"My husband would yell at me if I do this" she said....
"You don't have to tell him. These lies fall under the category of Spiritual lies. It is your money which you can use for your personal expenses and you are free to spend it for a noble cause... Spiritual lies does not hurt anyone infact it makes you and your family strong.. You achieve both your goals. You realise your dream of donating money without disturbing the peace of your house... Good things have to be carried out and spiritual lies have to be told. Spiritual lies can only be told by great individuals. They are not intended for selfish interests and they do not prove a point. We are taught all along our life to lie only for our selfish interests and a million times we lie in our whole life to satisfy our ordinary desires. We were never educated about spiritual lies....
"Your husband will dare not question your integrity for even if he does the force of God will override that foolish thought within him and blow it away even before he becomes aware of it... It is so powerful.... Spiritual lies are stronger than any force in this world for they originate from deep within you, from your real self ...... You dare not miss this opportunity....." i suggested to her.
She kept the phone down... She did not donate money towards her favourite charity .She did something much bigger in a years time.. She built her own charity out of her savings and of many others. She had gained so much power and so can you.....
Take a chance and lie spiritually today..... Watch what happens....
